Joanne's mom came from Utah during the week of Joanne's birthday. It's been hot in July, so we decided to go swimming at our friends' pool. They have a beautiful farm about 20 minutes from Washington, and their pool is excellent for cooling off.
Aunt Jennifer came to be with us for Joanne's birthday too. They set her cake on fire!
I took Joanne to Cheesecake Factory for her birthday. When we came home the girls (and grandma) had baked and decorated a cake for her.
That weekend, on the 24th, we went to see Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers with some friends. It was an excellent show, only rained a little, and we had a lot of fun.
We're going to have a youth boating activity soon, and I wanted to check out a possible site for our trip, so I rode my motorcycle to Salt Fork Lake in Ohio. It's an excellent place for boating, camping and skiing, and the ride out was fairly enjoyable too.
