This week over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the girls had a swim meet in Salt Lake. All three performed well and improved several best times.
On the holiday, with the girls out of school we headed up to Sundance. It was crowded and snowing a blizzard, so we skied hard for two hours and then called it a day.
This year, Madeline has been participating on her school's ballroom dance team. This week her team had a competition at Timpview High School. It was an eye-opening experience for the whole family. The place was rocking more than a rivalry basketball game. Madeline's team won a gold ribbon.
The girls made a variation on an old Christmas cookie favorite. These are marshmallow corn flake cookies, with no green food coloring and chocolate candies instead of red hots.
Emily had a spelling bee at school. That's her in the pink shirt. As you can see, she did well and outlasted many of her classmates, but didn't end up winning. Still, she did a great job.
