To commemorate my recent trip to Fenway Park, I started a pennant collection in my office at the college. So far I've been to home games for 12 of the 30 major league teams. Unfortunately, some of them (namely the Astros and Mariners) have moved into new ballparks since I saw them play, so I guess I'll just have to keep going to baseball games! The big event this week of course was Jessica's birthday. Emily helped mommy make a cake.
Here's the finished product!
Mommy's quilt for Jessica also got finished. Here it is in all its glory.
In addition to the 'family' party, we also had a 'friend' sleepover. This cookie cake was for the friend party.
Jessica got Mario Cart racing for the Wii from mommy and daddy. She loves this game, and it's been played extensively in the past few days.
For the friend party, Ken Doll fashionistas was a popular option this year.
On Saturday, we took the youth group from the church boating. We have a family in our ward who has a boat and the wife just happens to be in the Young Women's presidency, and although her husband is not a member of the church, he does love to take the kids out on his boat. We did this for the first time last year, and the youth have been raving about it since and wanted to make sure we did it again this year.
The kids don't water ski, they just want to ride the tube all day long.
